This video is brought to you by: www.pcmichiana.com Today’s video will show you how to configure your Windows Vista operating system to boot from multiple cores on a multi-core processor environment. Windows is configured by default to boot from a single core processor, thus the boot time on Vista may be shortened because it is not utilizing all of the cores in your multi-core processor. Now for those of you who have spent your hard earned money on a multi-core processor such as a dual-core or quad-core – you want to get as much out of your Vista environment as you can. Changing this setting is simple and quick. Enjoy!

This is the simplest way of optimizing oblivion for any multi core processor. www.linkbucks.com Edit These: bUseThreadedBlood=1 (default 0) bUseThreadedMorpher=1 (default 0) bUseThreadedTempEffects=1 (default 0) bUseThreadedParticleSystem=1 (default 0) iNumHavokThreads=3 (default 1) bBackgroundPathing=1 (default 0) bUseBackgroundFileLoader=1 (default 0) iThreads=10 (default 3)

is there any down side to this would it effect my computer if i run it for like 8 to 12 hours a day ?
@drftme Yep, it sure does, most of the Vista speed up tips do. The interface is just a bit different.
@SimonThePr0 Absolutley, the more the better.
I assume this would work on Windows 7 too…will have to try when I get home
Ok thanks, your videos rock btw, keep’em up!
Sure!
If I can run with 3 processors, should I do that?
hahahah check this out i bought a i7 today and 8gb ram hahah and i tried to boot it and it was slow rofl and i didnt notice it i thought its normal and its just me who thinks its slow lol then after that i launched sony vegas 9 and tried to render a video lol and it was more slow , i was thinking maybe i bought pentium 1 lol then searched on youtube and found this video that was helpful thank you , now everything is coooooool
also in the MSCONFIG windows you can make the timeout to 3 secs
i knew this but great video
That is most interesting! I wonder why…
Mine was already set to 2 by default.
Ohhh well. 5 stars nonetheless.
What are you using to record this as its great quality
If you don’t have more than one it wil not give you the option to use 2, it will only let you select the number of processor cores you have.
how do u kno how many processors u hav?
You and your weird goals.
I was in a rush to keep the video less than a minute long!
You really talked quickly in this one. Sounded like you were in a rush to get somewhere. =p
my question…
Ty for this video, it has helped alot.
Perhaps in the future when I have a 30 core cpu and 5 way sli, I can run Reaper’s Coldstone town mod properly XD
By changing system, crss.exe and services.exe priorities to realtime, I can set oblivion to realtime without XP freezing, and it adds onto this with another 10-15%+ solid performance by allocating as many CPU cycles and resources as possible to the game.
I’m only using a Pentium 4 541 Prescott 3.2 ghz w/ hyperthreading @ 4 ghz, 4 GB DDR2 RAM 800 mhz dual channel @ 1 ghz same with FSB and a eVGA 8600GT SSC 256MB DDR3. Framerates are very consistent maxed at 1280×1024.
Yeah I had some missing aswell but starting the game never helped, instead if I had to add them in myself
i already got it,
you gotta start the game first so the values can be set.
hey
i reinstalled oblivion, but i can,t find those valua,s only the first 2 blood and morpher, the othres can,t be found
cool i get 8 more frames
how much frames increase?
improves performance for multi core processors.
What does changing all that actually do?
